**optional** qtake cloud sync / server

Qtake Cloud Sync (cloud based server) can be added on - useful for users who cannot watch live

    1. Allows offline file access if on separate server

    2. Allows users to look at any clip on their schedule

    3. Users can be allowed to download

    4. User can be allowed to upload

        2nd Unit

        Splinter Unit

        VFX

        Locations

        Editorial

Can upload location photos or stunt rehearsals - available to all approved users immediately

    5. Allows multiple sets to be connected

Footage from each set is uploaded and shared with other sets

            - 2nd Unit

            - Splinter Unit

    6. Users can change metadata (if pre-approved to do so)

AC can have access and enter camera lens, height info as desired

Script supervisor can access and double check metadata

Access can be different for each individual

    7. Qtake Cloud Sync is built with maximum security

        Can be setup behind firewalls

Can work with IT departments and set up on studio lots, etc

Footage is always protected and user's access can be granted as needed

Step 5: viewing the live stream

Viewing the live / playback stream on the shoot day

    1. Users sign in

        Email link if remote viewing

QR code if on set with VTR

QTAKE MONITOR for OS & iOS devices

            - Mac computer

            - iPhone

            - iPad

            - AppleTV

    2. VTR Operator approves each user

    3. Users choose view from their device

        1-cam view

        2-cam view

        4-cam view

        Fullscreen or window

VTR can communicate via Qtake software intercom with one user - usually the director but can

be switched if needed if separate Zoom/Skype meeting doesn’t suffice

    4.  Users can request feeds be manipulated as needed by VTR Operator

        Frame lines - 4:3, 16:9, 9:16, etc

        Mixing / Keying / Compositing

        Titles, Supers

        Pre-Vis, Timing, Syncing

Embedded with sound so always in sync

    5. Wrap

VTR Operator can playback as needed

Footage can be made available with optional **Qtake Cloud Sync for offline file access if users

want to review on their own time or cannot be available for the live feed

Step 4: remote user info / account set up / login

Production collects info for each prospective user who will stream remotely and sends to VTR

     1. VTR Operator receives Name, Email, Position / Role for each approved user who will be viewing

on the shoot day - ideally done on prep day

Enters each user's email, name and role into system for that particular upcoming project

Invites users to the project (commercial, feature film, etc)

    2. Users sign in (or create if not previously setup) to Qtake account with link sent through email

    3. VTR Operator creates watermarks, sets individual access for each user based on their role and

        viewing specifications

Step 3: Web-based call / meeting setup

Setup separate web based video meeting for communication between set, director, VTR, DIT, clients

    1. VTR in some situations will have intercom with director through Qtake

    2. Production or DIT or VTR ideally hosts Zoom meeting - client usually wants to but better if not

Allows control of muting so no remote users affect shooting sound on set when rolling

Breakout rooms possible to separate related parties into appropriate discussions

            - Director-AD-DP-DIT-VTR-Producer

            - Creatives-Client-Agency-Producer

VTR can supply on set activity monitor to be viewed through QTake/Skype/ Zoom if desired

    3. Figure out if additional laptops or iPads are needed on set for Zoom/Skype communication

Can be provided by VTR as needed

ChillowVision Video step-by-step process to record and stream live feeds from set to remote users:

Step 2: VTR Location

Physical location of Video Assist Operator and Recording / Streaming Equipment

    1. Fully remote - vtr at home, receives signal through various methods (Qtake, Skype, Screenport,

Teamviewer, etc) and then sends live and playback to users

Screenport - on set device to send feed over internet

Teradek Cube, Bond, other network streaming device to send feed over internet

Relay Qtake system - on set drop-kit Qtake system preconfigured to be controlled remotely

and send live feeds over internet

        Skype, Zoom, etc

VTR Operator can use remote desktop software (Teamviewer, Anydesk) to control local

devices (Quicktime camera, pull footage etc)

    2. On Set - vtr on set, sending feed to remote users

    3. Near Set - outside house / set

Receiving signal via wireless from set to VTR Operator nearby, streaming to remote users

Receiving signal by feeding cables through window (hardwired), sending feeds to remote users

    4. Figure out how to connect to internet for remote streaming to users and internet based needs

Local Wi-Fi / router connection - need access to it directly (ethernet) or with password

High speed USB card on VTR cart

Factors to consider how much bandwidth is needed

            - How many cameras

            - Location

            - Zoom / Skype communication meeting on same network or different

            - On set activity camera on same network or different

That's it:

Step 1: camera feeds

How many camera sources and what kind?

    Pro (Alexa, Red, Sony, etc)

Non-Pro (iPhone, Laptop, USB camera, etc)

Optional On Set Activity Camera can be setup on many sets to allow for a wider shot of the set

          - Helps remote users understand what's happening on set and in between shots

Remote streaming - Step by step

PREP DAY / STREAM TECH:

Most shoots require a prep day to establish all the remote users, test feeds and settings for cameras

as well as setup Qtake Cloud Sync server if being utilized.

An additional VTR Stream Tech is also often needed to troubleshoot streaming to local and

remote clients, handle wireless, etc so VTR Operator can focus on what's happening on set.
